1/94 -- 9/94 Release Manager, Bachman Inc, Software Factory.

All areas of Software release from maintenance of OS/2 development environment, tools written in C on top of a Sybase database. Improved software build process from 1 week to 12 hours, automating build and install processes. Bill of Materials for first release on CD ROM, Maintained Solaris network and PC Lab with Novell and LanMan network, release Eng. on OS/2 windows. Produce bug/kloc statistics and changes report per build.

2/93 -- 1/94 Toshiba MRI. Taos Mountain Software Consultant.

Conversions of 1.5 Mloc to ClearCase, All aspects of Build and Release Management, Training of development community of CC and , bug tracking system using RTS Query, X11 base GUI. ClearCase system Administration, Bill of Materials and product of Source tapes for Japan and Beta Releases of Software. Produced a one step install of 250 Mbyte product from MOD.

4/91 - 11/92: Release Engineering for S.G.I.

Responsible for release of Irix 4.0 and 4.01 O/S. Improved build time of system software from 24 hours to 12 hours. Improved reliability of release process. Maintained tape and CD Media production tools. Added automated test suites for Software Q/A. Follow product life cycle from proposal to coding, marketing, documentation, media
production and into updates and customer support. Designed and implemented CM tools
to track build process. Built CASE and compilers and various of software products.
Maintained FDDI and Ethernet network between build file server and groups workstations. Re configured software and hardware for improved performance, such as logical volume striping, memory and CPU upgrades.

7/88 - 8/90 Configuration Management for N E C

Designed & implemented development environment on a Sun network using SCCS, NSE, Teamwork, Interleaf, Sybase, make and C++, (30 programmers 150 k lines of code). The environment reduced the production loop from 24 hours to 4 hours by using parallel processing and software tracking tools. These included an icon driven interface to the source control system and an object view of the code at hand. Managed software integration for product test and delivery. Created tools for the Q/A group to test Network Management System of a DS3 Digital Cross-Connect Switch.

11/85 - 7/87 System Administration, Site Coordinator for Tektronix

Managed port of object C compiler from Apollo to VAX VMS. Designed and ran system integration's tests and provided support for system level problems. Object oriented design and implementation of Design Cache. Maintained VAX 8650 with 14 microVaxes and Decnet, FTP and VAX Cluster. VMS network and system tuning. Site coordinator for product integration (4 sites & 60 programmers 1.5 M lines of C++). Managed build procedures and product delivery. General VMS expert.

7/83 - 1/85 Systems Programmer for Tricad

System administrator for VAX VMS 750, accounts, system tuning and security
Graphic programming for high resolution 3D drafting product.
Programming for background job system vector and raster plotter control, in-line compiler for graphics language and bi-cubic spines in C and VMS assembly language.

7/81- 6/83 Instructional Programmer for San Jose State

Managed 25 student assistants. Designed and implemented programs for instructional use. Provided classes on use of computers and software including SCCS, BASIC, Pascal, FORTRAN and various text editors.
